A True Working Bison Ranch, Not Just a Pretty Backdrop
Lucky 8 Ranch is a family-owned American bison ranch in the Trout Creek Valley, about 35 minutes from Steamboat Springs. The ceremony lawn looks out over layered mountain ranges; the reception site sits in a private pocket of the ranch where the tent glows at night and the stars feel close. We only host a limited number of weddings each season—one event per week—so the land never feels overused, and your celebration has room to breathe.

The Lookout is where couples say “I do.” It’s a mountaintop-feeling ceremony lawn with big-sky views in every direction and enough space for your full guest list to feel comfortable—not crammed. Guests step off the shuttle and immediately are blown away by the Colorado mountain air, and the open sweep of the Trout Creek Valley, with the bison pastures below.
