Elopement Packages
at Lucky 8 Ranch
Three ways to say “I do” on a 3,000-acre working bison ranch—same 3 hours of privacy, different levels of adventure.
Whether you want to drive straight to the view, ride in comfort, or head off-road by Polaris, each package gives you a private elopement with real infrastructure and unforgettable Colorado scenery.
How a Colorado Ranch Elopement Works at Lucky 8
Elopements at Lucky 8 are built around a simple idea: 3 private hours in a wild, beautiful place that doesn’t feel like a tourist overlook. You’ll meet us at the ranch, head to your chosen ceremony location, soak in the views, capture photos, and share a small celebration together—without worrying about crowds, restrooms, or whether there’s a plan B if the weather shifts.
Every elopement package includes:
-
3 hours of private use of the ranch or specific ceremony area
-
A dedicated staff member (or team) to support the experience
-
At least one planning visit so the day feels dialed-in, not winged
-
Intentional locations chosen for both ease and beauty
From there, you choose how adventurous you want to get: Summit, Tour, or Ultimate Adventure.

The Summit Package
drive-up views with max simplicity

What’s Included in the Summit Package
-
3 hours of private use of our Lookout Ceremony Site – you get uninterrupted time at a dedicated ceremony area with sweeping views, not a quick “in-and-out” slot.
-
Ceremony site equipped with power, a tent, and a bathroom – so you have shelter, sound, and real facilities built in.
-
Your choice of 3 ceremony locations:
-
The Pond
-
The Lookout Ceremony Site

Elopement FAQs
1/ What days are available for elopements?
Elopement packages are available on weekdays. This keeps the ranch quieter and more private for you, and helps us protect weekend availability for full wedding rentals. We release all open weekend date on January 1st for elopements during that year.
2/ How much is the deposit and is it refundable?
A 50% deposit of the venue rental is due at the time of booking. All deposits are non-refundable, as we reserve your date and turn away other inquiries once you’re on the calendar.
3/ When is the remaining balance due?
The remaining balance is due 7 days before your event.
4/ Can we bring extra guests?
Each package has a specific capacity (Summit 20, Tour 14, Ultimate Adventure 12, including the couple and vendors). Extra guests may be possible as an enhancement, depending on the package and location—just ask and we’ll walk through options.
5/ Can we add more time?
If you think you’ll want more than 3 hours on-site, let us know. In most cases, additional time can be added for an extra fee, depending on the date and schedule.
On your intro call, we’ll walk through current pricing, what you’re envisioning, and whether Summit, Tour, or Ultimate Adventure is likely to support your priorities—or if a micro-wedding or full wedding might be a better fit.
Elopement vs. Our Wedding Packages
Elopements
-
3 private hours on the ranch
-
Tiny guest count (usually 2–20 people)
-
One ceremony location + a simple celebration
-
Built for couples who want something intimate, scenic, and low-fuss
Micro-Weddings
-
Still intimate, but more like a “mini wedding”
-
Ceremony + small reception, often with a modest dinner and a few toasts
-
Uses more of the wedding infrastructure and timeline, with a smaller guest list
-
Great if you want a bit more tradition without a 150-person event
Full Weddings
-
Full-day experience with ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing
-
Ideal for hosting all your people in one place
-
Often includes more design, vendor team, and moving parts
-
